The Speaker List Is the Test

Who gets the stage says what a conference is for. Ours is meant for intellectual and political leaders who represent citizens, and for the new political leaders the movement is helping into office. It is never meant for people placed there by elites or the donor class. The speaker list is how anyone can check whether we kept that promise.

Judged on the record, not the reputation

Every speaker has their own page, and it shows what the movement can check about them:

  • their Flamingo Award, from their background, qualifications and their own recorded words;
  • how much we actually know about them, so the other numbers are not over-read;
  • any award they hold from a voting record, if they have one.

A long career in Washington earns nobody a slot. A speaker is on the list because of what can be checked, and the citizens vote on every name.

Honest about who has agreed

Being invited is not the same as agreeing to speak. Anyone invited who has not yet confirmed carries a small star beside their name, on every poster and every list. Any poster that shows a star also carries the legend explaining it.

No money moves through it

No tickets, donations, sponsorships, fundraising or campaign coordination happen on a conference page. A conference where a slot can be bought belongs to the people buying the slots.
