Congress Working For Citizens
Every other area on this site exists to answer this one question with evidence instead of opinion. A citizen does not need to be told that something is wrong in Washington. What a citizen has never been handed is a way to prove which way control runs — and then remove it.
That is the whole job here: name the ways control gets hijacked, show how each one is detected and proven rather than asserted, and then say what removing it actually takes.
Control is hijacked in a small number of ways
Only a handful of forces are large enough to outbid a voter base. Each one is treated the same way — named, defined, and given a public test that can fail.
Money in politics
The most documented route, and the one citizens name first. Campaign money, leadership PACs, the lobbying pipeline, and the job waiting on the other side of a member's last term. The test is not whether money was legal. It is whether a vote tracks the money rather than the district.
A globalist deep state
Permanent, unelected, and unaffected by an election result. Interests that outlast every administration, coordinate across borders, and answer to no constituency in any state. The test is whether policy survives changes of party that voters were told would change it.
An intelligence service
An agency with collection capability, classification authority, and the ability to decide what a member of Congress is allowed to know before voting. The test is whether the information a decision depends on is controlled by a party to the decision.
Detecting it, not asserting it
The difference between a movement and a message board is what happens before a claim is published.
- A named force. "Something is wrong" is not a finding. Which force, over which decision.
- A public record. Roll calls, filings, disclosures, contracts, court records — sourced at the door, so a stranger can check it without our permission.
- A stated gap. Where the record has been withheld, the withholding is recorded as its own fact rather than papered over. See Evidence.
- A rule about people. Nothing is stated as fact about a living person unless the public record carries it. Every other claim is attributed to its source.
Exposing it once proven
Proof that no one can read changes nothing. Exposure means the chain is published in full — the sources, the gaps, and the reasoning — in a form a citizen, a journalist, or an opponent can attack. If it survives being attacked in public, it stands. See Open Data.
Removing it
Removal happens at the ballot box, and nowhere else. A hijacked seat is answered by a better candidate for that seat, chosen by that community, backed before the primary rather than argued about after it. See Replacing Captured Incumbents.
