Community-Based Voting and Collaboration

This community decides what it stands for. Positions, plans and candidate judgments come from Democrat voters voting and working together — not from a platform written upstairs and delivered to the membership.

  • The community builds the package. Collaboration produces it, and the package is the product.
  • You vote where you sit on the spectrum. That position drives which candidates get matched to you, and it shows the real spread inside this community — so a loud minority does not get mistaken for the whole.
  • Our job is the process. Run it honestly, and keep it hard to capture. That is the whole of what we do here.

What keeps this from being gamed

  • Your party answer only decides who you get compared against. It is not a gate. No feature is denied on it, no page is hidden behind it, and it never becomes public unless you make it public.
  • Arriving on this domain does not answer it for you. Democrat comes pre-selected, with "you came in through the Democrat door — is that right?", and you still have to click. Filling it in from the address would make the whole measurement circular.
  • Weight in the community result has to be earned. A place where citizens document what their own officials did is a target for astroturf and sockpuppet accounts. Reading, reasoning and recording your own positions never require it.

Where this sits

This is one area of We The Citizens D, the Democrat front door at WeCitizensD.com. It is written for Democrat voters, and nothing on the other three doors decides what belongs here.
