Economics That Work for Workers

This door will not promise you a raise. What it does is put a number on whether the person holding your seat has moved your wages, your hours or your cost of living at all — and hand you that number before the next primary.

Economics is the center of this door, and every plank here gets one test: does it work for the worker.

  • The ordinary economics of a working life: wages, hours, healthcare, housing, childcare, debt. Not abstractions.
  • The rigged layer is what stands between a working economy and this community. The healthy economy underneath it is not the target; taking the layer off is the work in Keep Ethical Economy. Remove Rigged Layer.
  • Candidates get measured on whether their record actually moved those numbers — not on whether they gave the speech. The votes on the bills that touch those numbers, traced to the official record, with the ones we cannot get named as gaps rather than quietly dropped.
  • A plank with no worker-facing test does not belong on this door.

Where this sits

This is one area of We The Citizens D, the Democrat front door at WeCitizensD.com. It is written for Democrat voters, and nothing on the other three doors decides what belongs here.
