Decisions
A decision is the atomic unit of this product. It sits at the bottom of the hierarchy — community → area → decision — and it is where everything else converges.
What a decision holds
- The question, stated so it can be answered.
- Your position, and your confidence in it.
- The evidence chain — the links you have, the links you are missing and why, and your threshold for acting anyway.
- The AI's first-principles re-check — does your conclusion follow from your links?
- The fix you cast — what you would actually do about it.
Two files, on purpose
Each decision is stored as a structured record a machine can parse, plus a human-readable companion.
Neither is a degraded copy of the other. The structured file drives the product; the companion is what you can still read in a text editor in ten years without our software. Compressing them into one would mean giving up either the structure or the readability, and both are load-bearing.
Individual and pooled
In Individual Mode a decision is yours, on your disk, and complete on its own.
In Community Mode decisions aggregate into a community position — and the delta between yours and the group's is shown rather than averaged away. Where you differ from the people around you is information, not noise.
Inside the trusted layer, weight follows earned merit, bounded at 2×.
What the platform never does
Decide. It assembles context, checks whether your reasoning holds, and shows you where the chain is thin. When you disagree with its read, your position is what is recorded, with the disagreement visible.
