Evidence

This is the intellectual core of the product. Everything else is downstream of being allowed to reach a conclusion at all.

The deadlock this breaks​

  1. Powerful actors do something wrong.
  2. A slice of the information is classified, sealed, or withheld — a gap that did not occur naturally.
  3. Anyone who could recover it is blocked.
  4. Citizens holding 95% of the chain are labelled for saying so.
  5. The standard is set at 100%.
  6. The missing links are the ones being withheld, by the people the conclusion is about.

Permanent deadlock — and not by accident. It is the most efficient defence available, because it requires the accused to do nothing but wait.

What the app does instead​

A chain of links, each either something you have or something you are missing — and every missing link carries a reason:

Plus your threshold — the confidence at which you will act anyway — and a computed conclusion that states what is known, what is missing, and what follows.

Why the reason matters so much​

classified is not unknown. A gap somebody created is a different object from a gap nobody has filled, and treating them identically is exactly the error the deadlock depends on.

One shape, two homes​

The identical structure is used standalone, as a case of its own, and inside every decision. The reasoning does not change depending on where you happened to open it.
