Removing democracy from the outside
A citizen's vote is supposed to be the last word on who governs them. It stops being the last word the moment a service answering to another country can shape the choice, the information, or the count.
None of the three routes below are exotic. All three are cheaper than a weapons program and none of them require a single break-in.
1. Narrative control
Deciding what an electorate believes it is choosing between. This is the cheapest available operation and the hardest to see, because its output looks exactly like ordinary public opinion.
The test: does the material trace back to an origin that is not what it presents itself as? Funding, coordination and provenance are documentable; what somebody believes is not, and this site makes no claim about anybody's sincerity.
2. Compromise and leverage
Over people who hold office, or who want to. Leverage does not have to be exercised to work — its existence changes decisions on its own, which is why it is so difficult to catch and so valuable to hold.
The test: the public record. Where a court, a committee or a released document establishes it, it is a file. Where it does not, this site says nothing, because an unfounded compromise claim about a living person is both wrong and the fastest way to get an entire body of true work dismissed.
3. Access to classified systems
The structural one. Integration of systems, networks or data with another country converts a foreign service into a participant in American decisions — and access does not un-happen. Once granted it is not revocable in any meaningful sense; the copy is already made.
This is why the position here is about arrangements rather than incidents:
- No integration of our military, classified systems or data networks with foreign countries.
- No US defense and research budgets handed abroad — American money buying capability that ends up outside American control. The money side is also Who pays and who profits.
- No citizen data to foreign countries — the outbound leak, covered from the domestic side in US Intelligence.
