No China-Style Social Credit in America

A social credit system — a score that decides what a citizen is allowed to do — never gets built in America.

• That includes the private-sector versions of it: debanking, de-platforming as punishment, and scoring citizens by political behavior.
• Candidates get measured on whether they will outlaw it before it arrives, not after. After is too late; the infrastructure is the hard part and it does not get dismantled.
• This does not describe the movement's own trust scores. Those are about candidates asking you for power. They never measure citizens. See Trust Scores.

Why our own system cannot turn into one

• What you believe never reaches what you are allowed to do. Your political placement is walled off from your account standing and from every award. That is a one-way rule in the software, not a promise we are asking you to take on faith.
• The party question is not a gate. No feature is denied on it, no page is hidden behind it, you can change it whenever you want, and changing it does not wipe anything you already did.
• You never have to have a name. The app runs on your own machine, and reading, reasoning, recording your positions and running the checks all work with no account at all. A pseudonym can reach the top of the ladder. A system that punished anonymity would push exactly the citizens most at risk into either danger or irrelevance.
• If you say an action was not lawful, or you are not sure, the app sends nothing — no request, no draft, no log line, and the answer is never stored. A movement that kept a file of its members' self-incrimination would have built the evidence locker for the people it is opposing.
