Verifiable Meritocracy Instead of Narrative Control
You do not have to take our word that this is a meritocracy — you can check it yourself. That is the whole point of this door: a place where the best new political leaders get surfaced on merit and on the will of the people, and where you can go confirm that is what happened.
- The alternative we are displacing is narrative control — foreign services, intelligence services and concentrated money deciding in advance who gets elected.
- Verifiable is the operative word. An unverifiable meritocracy is a different small group picking, with better branding.
What checking it actually looks like
- Redo the arithmetic. Every result about a candidate is a published calculation over public records. The numerator, the denominator and every row are on the page. A citizen with a calculator can reproduce a published claim about a named living person.
- Read the code and the data. Both are open. See Open Source, Open Data, Open AI.
- Check who approved what. The approved data sits in a public repository, and its commit history is the approval record — what was decided and when. There is no separate approvals database behind it.
- Read what the system cannot do. It cannot decide anything by AI. It cannot rank one person by comparison to another. It cannot let money buy standing. Those are stated limits, not promises.
In this area
- What We Take Over, and What We Do Differently — Same slot, different method, different output.
- Who Does Not Fund Us and Who Does Not Control Us — Independence is a claim that has to keep being earned, so we state what we do not take.
Where this sits
This is one area of We The Citizens L, the Libertarian front door at WeCitizensL.com. It is written for libertarians, and nothing on the other three doors decides what belongs here.
