Charlie Kirk: Carrying the Work Forward
Charlie Kirk was assassinated, and the political right now needs a movement that doesn't depend on any one leader, any one organization, or any one platform's permission. Three things have to be true for that movement to survive. Citizens pick the voices on the stage, those voices can't be censored, and they can't be cut off from the money that keeps them working.

A conference where citizens pick the speakers
A political movement is shaped by who stands on its stage. When a small group picks the speakers, that small group is the thing an outside power has to win over, whether with money, access or pressure. Once it is won over, every citizen in the audience is hearing voices someone else chose.

Influencers who can't be censored
Today a handful of companies own the social networks political speech runs on. Each one keeps its posts locked inside its own walls, and each one can quietly turn off an influencer's audience with a ban, a deboost or an isolated account. Whoever can lean on those few companies can decide which truths reach citizens.
The fix is the same one the internet already uses. When one router drops traffic, the packets route around it and still arrive. Social media posts need to work the same way.
- Political social media has to move to open standards. Mastodon, Nostr and Bluesky (the AT Protocol). Once a post lives on an open standard, no single company owns it.
