Democratic Socialists, Not the Establishment
We are talking to the voter, not to the officeholder and not to the party apparatus.
- We speak to the voter. Not to the incumbent officeholder, and not to the machinery around them.
- Incumbents controlled by special interests and concentrated money are the thing we are replacing, and plenty of them run as allies of this community.
- Saying that out loud is what separates this from a party organ. A party organ protects its incumbents. We do not have any to protect.
