Keep Ethical Economy. Remove Rigged Layer

We do not hand you an economic plan, and we are not going to argue with the one you have. Democratic socialists write this one, in their own language, and this is where they write it.

Start with what we are not touching. The healthy economy is the part that works — the work people actually do, and the wages it is supposed to pay. That stays. What comes off is the layer written by the people it was written for.

  • The means: remove the rigged layer that sits between working people and a working economy. Every carve-out in it was written by somebody who benefits from it.
  • The end: an economy that is ethical and clean.
  • The headline, not the footnote: it has to be ideal for workers.

Every community names its own layer. Democratic socialists may put rules first that nobody on another door would, and that is expected — nobody on another door decides which rules belong on this list.

And the reason it has never come off is not the other party. A captured Congress does not pass the repair that removes what captured it, whoever wrote the repair. So the step before this package is replacing captured incumbents with challengers strong enough to stay uncaptured — after that, this package has somewhere to go.

How a complaint becomes a bill

  • A problem has to be fixable to count. Every problem carries a statement of what the world looks like once it is fixed. A problem with no statable fixed state is a complaint, and it does not go in.
  • Then it gets traced to the instrument. Which enacted law carries the carve-out, and who voted it in.
  • Then the fix gets written. Legislative language a member could file tomorrow, built from what citizens actually voted for rather than from what a lobbyist put in front of a staffer.

Where this sits

This is one area of We The Citizens S, the Democratic Socialist front door at WeCitizensSocialism.com. It is written for democratic socialists, and nothing on the other three doors decides what belongs here.
