The US social contract
What it is here
Two things, taken together:
The Constitution — the text, its amendments, and the structural commitments in it: enumerated powers, separation of powers, due process, the franchise, and the purse.
Representative democracy working as promised — the operating implication of that text. You elect somebody, they act for you, you can see what they did, and you can replace them. Each part is implied by the structure; the third is the one that actually fails.
What that lets us say
Concretely, these are the kinds of claim the standard supports:
- A duty existed and was not met, by a date, by a named body.
- A check that previously existed was removed.
- Public money moved without an attributable decision.
- A vote that the structure contemplates was never allowed to occur.
- Access was granted to parties who are accountable to no part of the public.
Every one of those is answerable from the public record and does not require agreeing with us about anything.
How it is stored
As layers, most general to most specific, mirroring the community hierarchy:
Earth -> Country -> State / Province -> Community -> Area -> Decision
Two parallel libraries use exactly this shape:
- Facts — the epistemology dimension: what we know.
- Metaphysics — its sibling: what is real, and what the reasoning is entitled to assume about causation, identity and truth.
Both are plain text. Both are assembled the same way: start empty, then concatenate only the applicable layers top-down, each block preceded by a header naming its source file.
The result is a single assembled text handed to the reasoning step — and every line in it is traceable to the file it came from.
What the standard does not cover
Most of politics. Tax rates, spending priorities, foreign policy, immigration levels, and nearly every question people argue about are not answerable from the social contract, and the movement does not pretend otherwise.
Those are legitimate disagreements between citizens. The contract governs the mechanism by which such disagreements get settled — not the answer.

The layer structure is why this generalises. Swap the country layer, and the machinery is unchanged.
