We The Citizens is a tool for fixing what is broken in how the country governs itself — built so that you never have to take anybody's word for anything, including ours.
In one paragraph
You are on social media, angry about something real, and there is nothing to do about it except argue. That is the problem this exists to solve. We The Citizens runs on your own computer. You record where you stand on an issue, lay out the evidence you actually have — including the parts that are missing, and why — and have the reasoning checked from first principles rather than against an authority. Then you decide, and if you want, you publish the fix. Underneath it all sits a public record anyone can clone: the laws doing the damage, the bills that would repair them, and what more than 1,300 people who have held office actually did while holding it.
What makes it different
Nothing is asserted without a source. No claim about a living person enters the record without a citation, enforced when the record is written rather than when somebody complains.
Everything is an award, never a grade. We publish percentages computed by equations you can reproduce with a calculator — not opinions about who is a good person.
The gaps are published too. Where we do not know something, the page says so. A named gap is a real finding; a confident guess is not.
You can leave and take it with you. The code and the entire record are public repositories. If this organisation is captured or simply stops existing, the record is already on other people's machines.
