Take Action
This is the movement's DO surface — the one section that answers "I have read enough, what do I actually go and do?"
Everything upstream of it — laws, problems, politicians, decisions, evidence — is understanding. As the specification puts it: a movement whose app can explain the problem in nine sections and cannot tell you what to do on Saturday morning is a reading group.
The tracks
Challengers · Communications · Organizing · Lawmaking · Participation
Grouping matters: a citizen who does one kind of work well should be visible as such, rather than buried under people doing a different kind.
What actions are worth
| Action | Points |
|---|---|
| add a politician video | 5 |
| a mass communications post | 10 |
| add a politician channel | 15 |
| identify a challenger | 25 |
| a canvass shift | 40 |
| recruit a citizen | 50 |
| vet a challenger · hold a meeting | 100 |
| a media appearance | 150 |
| publish an explainer | 200 |
| recruit a challenger | 250 |
| a press pickup | 300 |
| a challenger files | 500 |
| a challenger wins | 5,000 |
The ratios are the argument. Adding a video is real work and it is not within a thousand of putting a better person in a seat — and a scoring system that pretends otherwise will get you a great many videos.
Logging one
A title, a description, and one or more evidence URLs, added one at a time. Then a required declaration and an attestation before Submit unlocks.
The limit
We only carry action that is legal and ethical. The declaration has no preselected answer, because a pre-checked "yes" is an answer the app gave on your behalf.
Choosing the other option does not throw you out — the submit row is replaced in place with "then we cannot take it", and nothing is saved.
