The Movement

We The Citizens is a political movement and the company that builds its tools. One name covers both, deliberately — there is no separate commercial entity with different interests.

The charter, in one paragraph​

A citizen-powered decision-making platform that fixes society's problems through collective intelligence and AI-applied ethics. It runs in two modes: Individual, where one person runs it on their own computer and defines their own positions, and Community, where many people's decisions are pooled into a consensus. Individual Mode is the default and is complete on its own — a citizen never has to trust a central server to use the product.

The four pillars​

  1. Decisions — voting and policy positions, individually and pooled.
  2. Law generation — turning named problems into legislative language.
  3. Values — ethics captured in a form an AI can apply consistently.
  4. Evidence — deciding under deliberately incomplete information.

Pillar 4 is the one the others depend on. Without it, every conclusion waits forever on a link somebody is withholding on purpose.

What joining means​

Less than you might expect, and that is the point.

  • You do not have to join to use it. On your own machine you can be an anonymous default user indefinitely.
  • You do not have to give up anonymity to matter. A fully pseudonymous citizen can reach the top trust rung and full merit weight.
  • Money buys nothing. A paid supporter gets zero merit weight for paying. That is written down as a rule so nobody can later present it as an obvious optimisation.
  • Nothing is auto-approved, ever. Standing buys attention in a queue. Approval is always a human admin decision.
